Allan H. White, founder of The Communications Group, has a
rich background in management and sales from such technology
companies as Olivetti, Sony, Extel, and Carterfone Communications:
companies that had leading edge products in the fields of
computing and data communications. Responsive customer support
programs that put the customer needs first were in his historical
background. His family was in the restaurant business in Southern
California for a number of years, where he learned to appreciate
the need to control costs, and improve service, in order to
maintain a successful operation.
In founding TCG, Allan's objective was to provide
leading edge technologies with a strong support base. Leading
off many years ago with Sable Technologies POS systems, then
adding wireless on-premise paging, and food & beverage
management, TCG rapidly grew into a full service supplier
of hospitality cost control solutions. Additionally The Communications
Group buys, refurbishes, and sells Sable POS hardware components,
and offers hardware support services for all users of Sable
Systems.
Jim Bahringer came to The Communications Group
from Waiter.com, where he created a sales force aimed at developing
partnerships with food-service clients throughout the United
States. With Jim at the marketing helm, Waiter.com sold internet-based
services to over 300 restaurants.
Jim also brings a wealth of experience with
cutting-edge technology companies such as RPI a company specializing
in Virtual Reality devices and content, Netjet, an Internet
Site development firm, Concurrent Computer, Apollo Computer
and Hewlett-Packard.
Jim received a BS from the United States Naval
Academy - Annapolis MD, and completed postgraduate work at
the University of West Florida and San Jose State University.
Our support staff consists of people who have
extensive backgrounds in restaurant operations, computer networking,
database management, electronic design and accounting systems.
